Nobuyuki Matsuhisa known to the world simply as “Nobu” – is the acclaimed and highly influential chef proprietor of Nobu and Matsuhisa restaurants located across five contents.
Nobu opened his first restaurant in the United States, Matsuhisa in Beverly Hills, California, in January 1987. Matsuhisa was an instant success and became a magnet for food lovers and celebrities alike. It was here that his longtime friendship and business relationship with actor and director Robert De Niro began. It was De Niro ́s urging that together they opened the very first Nobu in New York City in 1994.
Nobu currently has 32 restaurants in 28 different cities around the world spanning across five continents.
The new restaurant will introduce Nobu’s world-renowned New Style cuisine to the resort’s discerning guests. Inventive style, known as Nobu-San style, has joined Japanese cooking and Peruvian flavors. The Nobu menu will offer a mouth-watering array of signature dishes including Black Cod Miso, Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeño and Tiradito, as well as speciality plates inspired by Marbella itself.
Nobu-San enjoys sharing his recipes and once humorously stated: “They can copy the recipes, but they cannot copy the heart that I put into each recipe.”
Drawing on inspiration from the ingredients themselves, Nobu has created a stunning menu filled with incredible dishes, each delivered with beautiful presentation, a feast for all the senses.
Nobu’s signature cocktails, crafted by master mixologists, will be served alongside its Bar Menu in the Nobu Lounge.
Designed by StudioPCH Malibu, Nobu Restaurant & Lounge Marbella will balance comfortable simplicity with natural materials and textures, consistent with the recently refurbished resort’s contemporary aesthetic.
