Antonio Ortega

Fashion is one of the fields of creation with the most transcultural repercussion. Its dissemination and the flows of exchange and experiences are of such importance that it would be uncommon not to find a mexican designer in montreal, adapting the global popular culture to the sketches of every next collection.

Sketches which may well be the aesthetic confluence between modern comics, heroic fantasies, a technological art bridge charged with symbolism and geek pride. Antonio Ortega spared no pop ingredients, and although the background of such precious drawings are the couture collections that shows each season in paris, their great artistic component never ceases to amaze us: images that arouse an enjoyable style, closer to fiction that to standard, or where standard loses it meaning or… it’s clear that ortega reflects a world of fuzzy boundaries.
